WEATHER STATEMENT

REEZING RAIN LIKELY TONIGHT *

THEAT TIME: FRIDAY 11:00 PM - SATURDAY 10:30 AM* F

Even though we've warmed nicely this afternoon, temperatures will drop back below freezing tonight. While low temperatures

should occur prior to Midnight before a slow warming trend overnight, it's unlikely to warm sufficiently before precipitation

(freezing rain) moves in to prevent icing. By 7 AM, temperatures will probably be right around the freezing mark, but given that

it's been pretty cold lately, it will probably take until we're 34 degrees with the sun up for there not to be any icing as some

shaded and less traveled surfaces may be running colder given the recent cold stretch. Either way, beyond sunrise, there should

be increasing variability in how ground surfaces behave as temperatures (air & pavement) continue to rise.
