JCP&L Helicopter Patrols - Aug 25, 2020

Please be advised that Chesapeake Bay Helicopters (CBH)  will be the helicopter company assisting in the post storm inspections of JCP&L's sub-transmission lines. 

The pilot will be in communication with any local airports, when in their airspace. The helicopter will be flying at a speed of about 25-35 mph above or alongside the lines and may circle around for a closer inspection.   The helicopter is gray and black - Tail Number N774CB.  

In addition, GeoDigital will be patrolling our transmission lines for vegetation management inspections.  This helicopter is blue and white - Tail Number N8QV.

NJDEP Harmful Algal Bloom (HAB) confirmed at Mountain Lake

 Harmful Algal Bloom has been confirmed at Mountain Lake and is listed as an Advisory.  The algae cell count is over 198,000 with microcystin levels at .20. Current toxicity is low. Sample was taken from Mountain Lake beach area.  

 WC Health Department will be posting signs around the lake regarding this advisory.

Door-to-Door Visits Begin Nationwide for 2020 Census

Census Takers to Follow Up With About 56 Million Households Nationwide

AUG. 11, 2020 — This week, the U.S. Census Bureau began following up with households nationwide that have not yet responded to the 2020 Census. Based on the current self-response rate of 63.3%, the Census Bureau estimates it will need to visit about 56 million addresses to collect responses in person. Up to 500,000 census takers across the country will go door to door to assist people in responding to the 2020 Census.

Danville Mountain Road - Paving

 Danville Mountain Road will be closed today and tomorrow, between Hanzel Woods and Mountain Top for paving. Residents in that section and emergency vehicles will be able to get through.
