Winter delay

Due to winter conditions the municipal offices will have a delayed opening at 9 am this morning,  Friday January 18.

Planned JCP&L Outage - Thursday 10 January

JCP&L has a planned outage scheduled tomorrow that will affected 46 customers mostly in Liberty and a few in Hope to upgrade electrical equipment.

The following automated voice message was sent to the residents informing them of the outage:

“This is an important message from Jersey Central Power & Light, your electric company. On Thurs 01/10 there will be a planned interruption of your electric service in order to make necessary upgrades to our electrical equipment. The outage will impact customers on Lake Just It Rd, Jenny Jump Rd, Hissim Rd, & Mountain Lake Rd in Liberty & Hope Townships, NJ. You will experience a service interruption from approx 9:00 AM till 1:00 PM. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your patience and understanding”.

Dog License renewals are due in the month of January.

If you missed the Liberty Township Rabies Clinic - you may participate in any free

rabies clinic within the State of New Jersey.

Weekly Fitness Program Schedule January 2019

Please note the change in our weekly fitness program: This Wednesday we will have Yoga instead of Qi-Gong/Tai Chi. I apologize for the disruption in our schedule and know some of you have been eagerly waiting for Qi-Gong to return. 

For the month of January, here is the class schedule:

January 9 - Yoga with Amanda

January 16 - Yoga with Amanda

January 23 - Yoga with Amanda

January 30 -  Qi-Gong/Tai Chi with Stan

All classes begin at 6pm and last one hour long. Classes will be held in the meeting room at the Liberty Twp. Municipal Building, 349 Mountain Lake Road and are $5 per person to attend. Please bring your own mat for Yoga.
